Another Mindless Assault on Business

In this interesting tidbit in the WSJ, the 5th Circuit accorded plaintiffs in New Orleans standing in their suit against energy companies for causing global warming and thus contributing to the damage caused by Hurricane Katrina.

Nevermind that anyone who chooses to live in a flood plain or worse, below sea level grade area, is asking for it (why don't they sue Mother Nature); such frivolity will lead to more lawsuits that only polyester-clad lawyers could love. It will most certainly not solve climate change, instigate thoughtful discourse and policymaking or even create smarter homeowners.
